After working as a software developer and project manager in various companies, Thomas Bendig was managing director of the largest European research organization for applied IT research for over 6 years and is now research coordinator of the Fraunhofer ICT Alliance. He coordinates the cooperation and joint strategy development of the 21 Fraunhofer institutes, which research and develop in the areas of IT and communication technology with about 6000 employees. At the interface between research, industry and politics, he initiates technology transfer to a wide variety of sectors of industry.
