Minna Ruckenstein is an associate professor at the Consumer Society Research Centre. She directs Helsinki Connect Lab that explores economic, social, emotional and imaginary aspects of algorithmic systems and processes of datafication. Recently funded projects focus on algorithmic culture and rehumanising automated decision-making. The disciplinary underpinnings of the work range from anthropology, science and technology studies, economic sociology to consumer research. Ruckenstein has published widely in top-quality international journals, and she collaborates closely with stakeholders in companies and NGOs, including AlgorithmWatch and MyData Global.
