Dr. Matthias Peissner is head of the Human-Technology Interaction research area at Fraunhofer IAO. His interdisciplinary teams work on solutions that enable efficient interaction between humans and intelligent technology. His work focuses on intelligent and adaptive systems, future work environments, and the design of positive user experiences. In ISO TC159 SC4 WG5 he is active in the international standardization of user interfaces. For human-centered design of AI systems, he is involved in the Learning Systems Platform and the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (OECD), among others. He is one of the founders and a long-standing board member of the "German Usability Professionals Association e.V." (G-UPA). At the University of Applied Sciences Schwäbisch-Gmünd, Dr. Peissner teaches on human-centered design of interactive systems.
