Julia Borggräfe (born 1974) is Director General at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Julia has a background in law. She is head of the new department „Digitalisation and Work“ at the Ministry since May 2018. After her law degree, she completed her education and professional career with international professional positions, among others in New York, Paris and Tel Aviv and with the publication of various specialist publications on personnel law and personnel policy issues.

Previously, she was Senior Vice President Human Resources & Corporate Governance at Messe Berlin and Senior Manager HR Western Europe Sales & Financial Services at Daimler AG Stuttgart, as well as a consultant specialising in change management, organisational development, human resources, corporate and leadership culture.
