Alexander Mädche is Professor of Information Systems at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and is the spokesperson of the Institute for Information Systems and Marketing (IISM). His research group is located at the interface of business informatics and human-computer interaction and focuses on the design of interactive intelligent systems for business and society. He publishes in leading conferences and journals in computer science and information systems, including Management Information Systems Quarterly, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, CHI, and CSCW. Additionally, he is involved in several non-profit institutes, including Usability & UX in Germany UIG e.V. and fairDigital e.V.
